History

History of Orbital Search and Rescue (OSAR)

Founded in 2950 during a surge of interstellar expansion, Orbital Search and Rescue (OSAR) began as a beacon of hope in a rapidly industrializing galaxy. It was a non-profit organization born out of altruism, staffed by a coalition of former naval officers, civilian engineers, and medics. Their mission: to save lives in the hostile void of space, relying on donations and goodwill to fund daring rescue operations in uncharted and hazardous territories. OSAR’s motto, “No life left behind,” inspired countless missions and earned the organization a heroic reputation.

However, this idealistic foundation proved fragile in a galaxy governed by profit and survival. By 2954, dwindling donations and growing operational costs threatened to shut OSAR down. Enter Joint Task Force Silver Suns—a powerful paramilitary conglomerate with its own designs on the rescue industry. The Silver Suns acquired OSAR, rebranding it as a for-profit, elite paramilitary rescue organization. This acquisition marked a stark shift in OSAR’s philosophy and methods.

Under the leadership of the Silver Suns, OSAR embraced a new ethos: client safety above all else, delivered at a premium price. The organization’s operations expanded, incorporating state-of-the-art weapons and tactical training alongside advanced medical capabilities. No longer constrained by altruism, OSAR became infamous for its willingness to use overwhelming force to extract clients from danger. Collateral damage and ethical considerations took a backseat to operational success, ensuring that those who could pay for OSAR’s services survived, no matter the cost.

Today, OSAR operates as a symbol of efficiency and unyielding loyalty to its clients. Loved by those it saves and feared by those who stand in its way, OSAR is the definitive answer to survival in a galaxy fraught with peril.

Survival has a price, and we deliver what others cannot. Our clients entrust us with their lives because we do not compromise. The galaxy is harsh, and OSAR stands as the last line of defense against its indifference.

Our Clients:
Governments, corporations, and private individuals who value efficiency over sentimentality. Those who hire OSAR know that their safety is not a question—it is a guarantee.

Our Legacy:
