2nd child and only daughter of Ragnar and Miriam Shaw. One of the wealthiest families in the Magnus System. Arulia was raised often over looked by her parents She did receive a top tier education for business strategy and management.
Upon finishing college, Arulia, decided to tour the ‘verse, Her ship was attacked. In the conflict, an explosion knocks Arulia unconscious. She awoke, in the slums of a city. After weeks of “recovery” she was eventually returned home. She never forgot the children she saw with their dirty and unwashed clothing, some missing limbs from slum violence and disease
She then went to work for her father, but she could not shake the images she had seen. She eventually learned that her father paid 10 million for her return, but when more was demanded, he refused to pay anything further, claiming “she isn’t worth that. Keep her.” This along with her own brother, Brewen, leaving due to their fathers lack of care for others made her realize it was time to make her own way.
