Sure I used to be like you. Even did my duty with a tour in Squadron 42. I was there when... well, you know what happened. Thing is I was born to privilege, best education and all. We were indoctrinated, plain and simple. Came to the academy thinking the Universe owed me. I thought Humanity was supreme and I was one of the Empire's chosen sons. Boy did I get a wake-up call. Saw a lot of close friends die and came close myself, oh I don't know how many times. Saw how this 'superior race' I belonged to treated others. Hell - treated each other.
