Thomas Gumby Iverson-Foss was born into a large family of farmers who settled eventually on Borea in the Magnus system. Being the youngest left Gumby a lot of time to experiment with 'alternative' crops and home-brewing. After pioneering a successful business growing and selling these alternative crops, local competition forced Gumby into eliminating his competition and closing his business. Gumby then promptly dropped off the radar by joining the military with his friend Isaac where they served with distinction. After the military the friends went their separate ways and Gumby became a freelance trader. Years later he met up with his old friend and together they started Potent Potables Brewery (PPB). Gumby and crew now make their living brewing and trading exotic beverages (among other things) across the verse.
