Xerik fought in the war, earning his stripes by repeatedly coldly analyzing situations and executing what would turn out to be devastating strategies against the Enemy.
His capacity for coldly executed violence made him a target for recruitment by pirates as he left the force. He turned them down, finding little of interest in meaningless thuggery.
The pirate recruiter threatened him, but Xerik blew them off.
When he returned home, he would discover the consequence of this offense, his young wife and children gone, a pool of blood all that remained.
Xerik had a lucrative amount of backpay, and nothing left at home. He joined H.A.V.O.K. for the purpose of destroying as much pirate scum as he could.
