Birth Place: Shubin Mining Station
Orin Ladoch grew up on the Shubin Mining Station where his father manned mining operations. At the age of fifteen, he took a job as a scrapper where he gained his first real experience mining large asteroids. After three years of gleaning the scrap left by the mining drills, he had saved up enough of the ore "dust" to smelt, refine, and then sell it. A traveling merchant ended up paying him handsomely for the ores, enough that he would be able to buy his first small spaceship.
A few months later, he hitched a ride to Arccorp where he bought a used Eagle Surveyor. He used his Surveyor for 13 years as a traveling merchant. Today, Orin might be found farming at his habitation on Yela or exploring the universe in search of new and interesting places.
