History
Helljumpers (ODST) was founded in 2009 in the video game EVE Online. ODST was founded on the principle of independence; our founders wanted to be free from the leash of rageful and petty overlords. Helljumpers developed a distinct personality: we were self-sufficient and bold, but most of all we were massive shit talkers. The EVE corp has passed into an inactive state. But the core values of independence, self-sufficiency and bold action will form the foundational pillars for a new beginning in Star Citizen.
Manifesto
Helljumpers are bold, dropping feet first into hell. Orbital Drop Shock Troopers know how to follow orders of their commanding officers in combat situations. Every Helljumper is self-sufficient and fiercely independent, deploring fascism and tyranny in all forms.
ODST’s long-term goal is to create an environment capable of independently sustaining our gameplay. Part of this vision is designing our gameplay around a “log in and play” mentality, where players with limited free time will be able to log into their or a company ship pre-staged at our “home,” whatever form that eventually takes.
In the short-term, our main vision is to explore the verse and get rich, accumulating resources and wealth to promote our greater vision. No specific ships or experience necessary. We’ll help you get your character where you want to be!
Charter
Helljumpers are bold, and eager for combat.
Helljumpers follow the orders of their commanding officers in combat.
Helljumpers will remember that their behavior reflects upon the organization and will refrain from verbal or other attacks that target and individual or group in a hateful way.
Helljumpers will be self-sufficient economically and in every other way. We will help you learn, but we will not hold your hand.
Helljumpers despise oppression, fascism and tyranny in all forms and a fierce love for independence of mind, body and spirit.
