THE TAIPAN LEAGUE WAS ESTABLISHED IN FEBRUARY 2952. IT WAS FORMED BY A GROUP OF SEASONED PLAYERS WHO PREFER TO WIN THROUGH THE USE OF WIT AND SKILL RATHER THAN SHEER WEIGHT OF NUMBERS. ITS EMBLEM IS THE TAIPAN – SWIFT AND DEADLY. LIKE ITS NAMESAKE, THE LEAGUE ONLY STRIKES WHEN PROVOKED.

ITS HISTORY IS YET TO BE WRITTEN BY THOSE WHO JOIN ITS RANKS … COMRADES ALL.

1. The Taipan League is intended to be a highly-effective, self-sufficient formation.

2. Given its time zone,Taipan League is unlikely ever to operate as a large force with the capacity to overwhelm an opponent through weight of numbers. Instead, the League will prevail through strategic and tactical excellence combined with the capacity to project power (‘hard’ and ‘soft’) with maximum precision for maximum effect.

3. Its purpose is to protect and support those who wish to enjoy ‘freedom of navigation’ within any area of space. In particular, Taipans will specialise in operating within the most challenging environments – where any disadvantage in the size of its formation is offset by the advantages conferred by the skill of its members.

4. The League’s use of force will be in the service of a just cause. Our use of force will be in accordance with the principles of:

  • Discrimination: we will aim to minimise harm to non-combatants
  • Proportionality: we will only apply the degree of force needed to achieve our objectives.

5. The essential character of the League is shaped by and expressed through the values of:

  • Courage
  • Camaraderie
  • Self-discipline
  • Innovation
  • Loyalty
  • Self-sufficiency
