History

The history of our company starts in the year 2872. Due to military downsizings at the end of pitched war with the Vanduul, Lieutenant John Ares of the UEE serves his last tour and retires.

In 2877 Ares joined a mercenary guild called the Blades Association. He quickly rose through the ranks due to his military experience, which was something the guild had been lacking. The guild master retired in 2889 and left the guild to Ares, his second in command at the time, due to not having any children of his own and not needing the guild to support his retirement.

Ares changed the name and completely shook up the org, naming it the Ares Private Security Corporation and turning it from a motley crew of bounty hunters into a somewhat respectable PMC.

Ares would run the guild for almost 60 years and in the process collect a massive supply of assets and money for the guild.

In 2947 Ares and most of the guild would perish while flying a whole-guild mission. Due to the circumstances of the mission regeneration at a UEE facility was not possible, and the multiple medical ships Ares brought for regeneration were all sabotaged by someone within the org. The loss of the leadership and the rampant suspicion would tear the org apart before they decided who would inherit, leaving the guild’s charter and assets to pass to Ares’s next of kin.

In 2945 Chief Petty Officer Jaxon Ares would serve alongside civilian military contractors in responding to the aftermath of the Walzer Massacre. After talking with some of the contractors, he realized that they got paid substantially more than him and enjoyed more liberties.

In 2946 CPO Jaxon would retire from the UEEN and pursue a career in salvaging, thanks to a Reclaimer crew seeking an experienced replacement. Jaxon spent two years as a senior salvage drone operator and one as the Executive officer.

In 2949 Jaxon Ares received news that the last other Ares had passed away and that he had inherited the Charter and remaining assets of the Company. He moved to Vega and had the remaining materiel and licenses sent to him. Fin, who he knew from UEEN training, moved out to help.

After all the paperwork had been sorted out Jaxon took control of the guild, and decided to retain the name. Fin would bring in Thomas from the exploration department of RSI, and the three would fly their first mission in 2950.
