Astraios Exploration was founded in 2943 by Origin 315p pilot Jason Renninger after he met with success by discovering a derelict Retaliator adrift in the void. Renninger invested the profits in his own future by incorporating, trading in his 315p in for a Freelancer DUR, and hiring a couple of crew members for some serious deep space exploration.

After making local system headlines a few times with interesting discoveries Jason was amazed to find owners of other small exploration craft began to approach him looking for advice and guidance. Surprisingly social for a man who spent most of his time alone in deep space Jason quickly turned these encounters into business opportunities and recruited some of these people to join his company. Most of these other explorers would continue to operate alone or with their own small crews but in exchange for guiding them to success a portion of what they discovered would go to the company.

Astraios’ small fleet of modest exploration craft quickly created a steady cash flow for the company and Renninger, always looking to the future as well as the stars, has begun investing that money back into upgrades to help him accomplish his ultimate goal of discovering a jump point!

As of March 2945 Astraios Exploration has leased an Anvil Carrack, and has offered his normally independent employees the opportunity to volunteer help crew it before looking to hire crewman from outside the company.
