The AWOL PMC was formed by multinational experts from different professions who decided to go AWOL from their nations or previous jobs, thus the name. These included civilian engineers, soldiers and government officials. The creators wanted to create a company that is not dependent on any nation and is completely self sustained and independent. The creators believed that everyone, even soldiers should be able to pick who they fight for and why. First created as an civilian corporation in 1985 with the name AWOL Resource Group and with an objective to harness the riches of Earth by mining diamonds and pumping oil all around the globe, it quickly attracted the attention of military veterans, private security contractors and private investors. All looking for a way to get rich and live without political pressure from nations. The high number of military personnel gave AWOL a new area of industry and they started to produce Defensive Military Services and changed their name to AWOL Private Military Control Resource Group but the common people referred to them as AWOL PMC.
During the early years of it’s existence AWOL faced several controversies involving countering Green Peace protesters with force, trafficking weapons to African warlords and smuggling drugs from Asia and South America. Most of the allegations were wiped under the desk due to a lack of proof of AWOL PMC involvement. The power of AWOL PMC grew steadily trough the years and AWOL PMC quickly became one of the worlds leading employees. Experts from all creeds wanted to explore the opportunities that AWOL was able to provide from health care to security services and mining industry to archaeology. Around 2024 AWOL PMC was the worlds largest PMC having bought several other PMC companies to themselves. They now served on every continent and almost in every major nation. There were many rumours that AWOL PMC had used hostile takeover tactics to get rid of their competition but these were all denied by AWOL Board of Directors.
Around 2380 when United Nations of Earth was created, AWOL PMC started to expand into the stars just like rest of the humanity. They offered various security services to colonist ships, explorers and newly formed colonies. Slowly but steadily AWOL PMC started to spread from planet to planet and system to system but the competition in space is now much larger as the new opportunities attract new companies.
2523 the United Planets of Earth was formed which brought more job opportunities to AWOL PMC on planetary scale. AWOL PMC expands it business to smuggling all kinds of goods to those who are willing to pay. A new headquarters is set up in Prime on Terra that now serves as the secondary HQ while the HQ in Moscow is still the main office. During the Cold War with Xi’an Empire anti-military activists accuse AWOL PMC of smuggling Earth weaponry to the Xi’an forces and vice versa. These activists suffer from mysterious disappearance. The fear of Xi’an Empire in the minds of UPE citizens brings more contracts for AWOL and during the First War with the Tevarin it is rumoured that AWOL contractors have been involved in fights against Tevarin populace.
Under the United Empire of Earth AWOL PMC faces a slow but steady growth for several decades ultimately benefiting greatly from Imperator Messer’s pro-military propaganda. In the beginning of Vanduul raids in 2681 AWOL PMC hires several bounty hunters to hunt down raiders that had hurt AWOL supply transports and civilian vessels. After failure of the bounty hunters AWOL PMC announces that they will provide bounty hunting services for those in need of them for a fair price. Several freelancers contact AWOL for protective services. 2788 during the rise of anti-UEE activism AWOL receives an offer from the UEE government to work as an para-military organization directly under UEE instead of as an independent company. Board of Directors deny this offer as they don’t see it’s their job to deal with “rebels”and correct the mistakes government has made.
Several pro-UEE politicians and organization accuse AWOL of supplying anti-UEE activists around UEE space. This is denied by AWOL PMC and countered with accusations towards pro-UEE organizations that include massacre of species and unethical way of doing business and terrorism. After the fall of Imperator Messer XI, AWOL PMC got into financial troubles due to the new politics issued by the new government of UEE. Losing several clients to other organizations more closely associated with UEE, AWOL PMC goes deeper in to illegal business, unofficially even hiring pirates to hurt their competition. Board of Directors unanimously agree to help in funding of The Ark in order to redeem their name and to hide tracks of illegal money.
A fortune is spend by Board of Directors on SynthWorld but they quickly draws their funding away when they realize that their money is not used properly to further the research. Still in 2942 AWOL PMC is slowly recovering from it’s financial troubles after sacking of the Board of Directors and replacing them with distinguished Admirals with new more radical ideas about how AWOL PMC should do business. The growing Vanduul attacks provide opportunities for the Board of Directors to get back their old clients and establish new contracts. Recruitment officers are positioned all over the galaxy to bring in the best and the brightest to AWOL and all those who are willing to risk it all in hopes of fortunes.

Good day to you who are reading this.
What is AWOL PMC you might ask? AWOL PMC is an organization created by Absent Without Leave multinational gaming community in the Star Citizen universe. Our aims as an organization is to bring RP into Star Citizen while providing fun experiences for all of it’s members. Our beliefs are that in order for an organization to work you don’t need a strict chain of command in the fashion of modern military organizations. We believe that everyone is equal and that everyone will be listened to while policies that effect the whole organization are crafted. But for the sake of keeping things organized and for providing RP we do have ranks. Most of all we seek players who are interested in RP, are active and are looking for a group that will stay in Star Citizen for a long time making a name for itself. Thus our recruitment is open for all those who meet the requirements to be part of AWOL PMC.
AWOL PMC provides full range of military services, including combat, logistics, training, weapons, outfitting, and R&D. AWOL PMC doesn’t follow any ideology or political beliefs, This way AWOL PMC is free to choose it’s partners and systems to operate. AWOL does respect the government of UEE and the planets they do business in and refrain from involving themselves in governmental business, this includes suppressing rebels or helping in any sort of military operations against another government or against their own population. If a government faces rebellion from their own people, AWOL believes that the government has ultimately failed in it’s duties and should be replaced.

Sharing of spoils
Sharing is caring
Loot gained during a fleet activity that involves more than 2 members is subject of sharing on need basis. All loot that can be used to upgrade fellow members ship should be shared to the person who needs it. In case of no one needing the upgrade that has been gained, the original owner will keep the loot. Requesting something on the basis of need, just to sell, it is forbidden.
All loot gained during freelancing that includes no more than 2 members or solo jobs are to be kept by the person(s) involved in the mission and there is no need to share.

So some pointers about what we expect from members. The info needed from applicants can be found in the recruitment section of our organization site. We accept citizens of all pledge levels.
