Bosun Interplanetary Transport Services has a long and coloured history that is quintessentially tied together with the success and prosperity of the United Empire of Earth. Founded by manufacturing magnate and entrepreneur Alexander Bosun in 2442, B.I.T.S. has largely prospered under the doctrine of humanity’s manifest destiny among the stars. Being staunchly pro-humanity and pro-Sol, B.I.T.S. has remained incorporated on Earth, with regional offices located in a number of other strategic systems. Today, the company continues to trade on its long standing heritage and members’ citizen statuses.

With the masses looking to leave Earth in 2460 the new CEO Michael Bosun, with renewed vigour, formed the Exploration division to compliment the services offered, he called the division B.I.T.E.S. (Bosun Interplanetary Transport & Exploration Services) and named their first deep space explorer the Honey Badger.

The company flourished with the discovery of Terra in 2516 and made regular runs between Earth and Terra Prime.

During the Tevarin War of 2603-2610 BITS CEO Colin Bosun made the wrong choice of supplying and therefore appearing to back, the Tevarin’s reclaim of Elysium IV. The UEE and her supporters turned on the company and contracts were lost, stocks fell. 182 years later, Colin’s Great Grandson made a similar error of judgement and made matters worse for the company after The Massacre of Garron II in 2792; when a terraforming Corp began to terraform an inhabited planet, B.I.T.S. was a contracted shipper and the association upset Antie-UEE activistst the company was on the verge of bankruptcy after struggling to find supporters in the stock markets.

In 2872 the UEE began Project Archangel in the Chronos system ; companies from far and wide were contracted to supply the construction of the eco-friendly SynthWorld.

B.I.T.S. was a reliable supplier for 50 years but in 2922 a competitor for the contracts on Project Archangel did some under the table back handers and lost it’s contract. B.I.T.S. CEO John Bosun reluctantly closed the exploration arm and decided to concentrate on supply runs between Terra Prime and neighbouring systems.

The current CEO James Bosun recently announced the reopening of Exploration Charters after the discovery of the Tamsa system “The universe is still largely unexplored and we want B.I.T.S. to be at the forefront and leader in exploration, transporting pioneers and supplying new mining ventures.”
