The Black Hand Corsairs are a ruthless space syndicate, feared for their brutal pirating, smuggling, and trafficking operations. With a vast criminal network, they dominate the black market and thrive in lawless corners of the galaxy. Once they’ve marked you, escape is impossible.

History

The Black Hand Corsairs emerged from the void, a ruthless syndicate born in the darkest corners of the galaxy. Their origins trace back to a time when lawlessness ran rampant, and those who lived by their own code were either destroyed or forced to adapt to the brutal realities of space piracy. The Corsairs, however, thrived. They became the embodiment of an underworld that knew no mercy, no boundaries, and no loyalties beyond their own.

The Early Years: Rise from the Ashes

The formation of the Black Hand Corsairs began over three decades ago, amidst the collapse of a once-prosperous trade federation. The federation had ruled several border worlds and controlled vast swathes of galactic commerce, but internal corruption, greed, and inefficiency led to its downfall. As the federation crumbled, many of its outlying colonies and stations fell into chaos. This instability attracted a wide variety of opportunists—rogues, ex-soldiers, smugglers, and criminals of all kinds. Among them was a charismatic leader known only as Captain Solara “Blackhand” Jarek.

A former pirate captain with a reputation for cunning and savagery, Jarek capitalized on the power vacuum left by the federation’s collapse. She quickly assembled a crew of like-minded outcasts, each with a personal grudge against the established order. It was Jarek’s brutal vision and ruthless drive that transformed these scattered individuals into a single, unified force—one that would come to dominate the lawless fringes of the galaxy.

Expansion and the Mark of the Black Hand

The Corsairs’ rise was swift and violent. They carved a name for themselves by raiding trade routes, smuggling weapons, and selling illicit goods to the highest bidder. Their greatest strength lay in their ability to strike quickly, leaving no trace behind. By the time the galaxy’s various authorities began to take notice, the Black Hand had already entrenched itself in the underworld. They controlled vast swathes of the black market, from stolen technology to forbidden artifacts, and even the trafficking of sentient beings.

Jarek’s strategic brilliance and utter disregard for any concept of morality or law allowed the Corsairs to expand rapidly, forging alliances with other criminal groups while brutally eliminating rivals. Over time, they developed a symbol—the Black Hand—a mark that came to symbolize both their dominance and the fate of those who crossed them. To be marked was to be doomed; no one escaped the Corsairs once they had set their sights on a target.

The Golden Age of Piracy

The next phase of the Black Hand’s history saw them reach the height of their power. Under the leadership of Captain Jarek, the Corsairs expanded their influence across dozens of systems. No star system was too remote, no ship too fast. They became an unshakable force in galactic affairs. While governments and corporations scrambled to contain their rise, they were always one step behind.

At this peak, the Corsairs were not just pirates—they were a shadow empire, controlling the black market with an iron grip. Their fleet was a formidable force, a mix of stolen military ships, makeshift vessels, and feared warships all bearing the Black Hand symbol. In every corner of the galaxy where lawlessness reigned, the Corsairs could be found lurking in the shadows, their influence felt in everything from trade to warfare.

The Fall of Captain Jarek and the Legacy

Though Jarek’s reign was feared, it was also marked by betrayal and bloodshed. As often happens in such a power-hungry organization, factions began to form within the Corsairs. Some grew disillusioned with Jarek’s absolute control, others sought to seize her power for themselves. In the end, Jarek was betrayed by her closest allies and assassinated during a daring raid on the Corsairs’ flagship.

Her death did not mark the end of the Black Hand, however. Instead, it catalyzed the Corsairs’ transformation into a decentralized but equally dangerous force. The leadership changed hands multiple times, but the Black Hand’s legacy endured. New, more ruthless leaders emerged from the ranks, each continuing Jarek’s vision in their own way. The Black Hand Corsairs remained as a dominant force, feared by governments, merchants, and rebels alike.

The Black Hand Corsairs are still active today, an unpredictable and elusive syndicate whose presence can be felt throughout the galaxy’s darkest corners. Their name is whispered in fear across the galaxy, a symbol of piracy, vengeance, and ruthless power. And as long as the stars remain wild and untamed, the Black Hand will continue to thrive.

Manifesto

We, the Black Hand Corsairs, are the storm that will not be tamed, the darkness that will not be extinguished. We are not bound by the rules of a broken galaxy or the empty promises of governments that only serve the powerful. We are the outcasts, the shadows, the masters of the uncharted. We are the true lords of the stars, and the void belongs to us.

I. The Lawless Reign of the Corsairs

In a universe where justice is a commodity bought and sold, we have carved our own path. Laws are the shackles of the weak, and we cast them aside like the debris of a destroyed world. We are pirates by design, mercenaries by necessity, traffickers by opportunity. Every star, every system, every outpost that dares to exist outside the grasp of corrupt authorities is our domain. We do not bow to empires or the fading remnants of civilizations that no longer understand power. We are the true architects of the galaxy’s future.

II. The Black Market Is Our Kingdom

The galaxy is rife with treasures hidden in the dark, and we know where to find them. From contraband to ancient relics, from technology to lives, everything has a price. We control the flow of resources, the lifeblood of the galaxy’s underworld. When the law fails, when the rich grow bored, when the desperate seek salvation, they turn to us. We are the keepers of secrets, the dealers in forbidden goods, the gatekeepers to all that is unclaimed.

III. Loyalty Above All Else

Our power comes not from brute force alone, but from the unbreakable bonds we share. The Black Hand is family, bound together by blood and fire. Those who join us do so with the understanding that their loyalty is absolute. Betrayal is a death sentence. To cross the Corsairs is to sign your own epitaph. And once we have marked you, no corner of the galaxy is safe. You will be hunted, hunted until your very soul trembles in fear.

IV. The Mark Is Eternal

We are not interested in fleeting victories or minor heists. We leave a legacy, a symbol, a brand. The mark of the Black Hand is more than a warning—it is a death sentence for our enemies, a badge of honor for our allies. To be marked by the Black Hand is to be erased from existence, to become nothing but a memory lost in the cold void. Escape is impossible. Resistance is futile. The stars burn bright with our name, and the universe trembles beneath our might.

V. We Are the Future

The galaxy is fractured, and the rich, the powerful, the so-called “elite” will fall. They have forgotten what true power is. They have forgotten that the shadows are where empires are born and where they die. We, the Corsairs, will rise from the ashes of their corruption and create a new order. We will bring about the dawn of an era where strength, cunning, and loyalty reign supreme.

VI. Vengeance Is Ours

To those who have wronged us, betrayed us, or stood in our way, know this: we are patient. We wait, we plot, and when the time comes, we strike without mercy. The galaxy may believe that we are criminals, but we are justice—swift, ruthless, and unyielding. Those who forget the power of the Black Hand will learn the price of their folly in ways they will never be able to undo.

VII. Death to the Weak

We do not suffer weakness. We do not shelter the broken or the cowardly. To be part of the Black Hand is to understand that only the strong survive, and the weak are left to rot in the gutters. If you cannot hold your own in the face of danger, if you cannot stand tall in the storm, you will be cast aside, forgotten, consumed by the darkness that we command.

VIII. Join Us or Perish

The Black Hand offers power, wealth, and freedom to those who have the courage to seize it. Join us, and you will be more than a mere cog in the wheel of the galaxy. You will be a master of your own destiny, the ruler of your own fate. But make no mistake—we take what we want, and we will destroy anyone who stands in our way. If you are weak, you will be consumed. If you are strong, you will thrive.

This is our promise. This is our law.

The stars are ours, and the galaxy will know our name.

The Black Hand Corsairs

Charter

The Black Hand Corsairs are bound by a code, not of honor, but of power and survival. The following charter serves as the foundational laws that govern all members of the Corsairs. These rules are not negotiable, and any who violate them will face the harshest of consequences.

1. The Hand of Loyalty
“Loyalty to the Black Hand is paramount above all else.”

All Corsairs must pledge unwavering loyalty to the syndicate. Betrayal, insubordination, or disloyalty will result in immediate execution.
The Corsair’s loyalty is to the collective strength of the group. Personal gain must never outweigh the interests of the Black Hand.
Any member who betrays a Corsair or the organization will be marked and hunted by the syndicate until their final breath.
2. The Law of the Mark
“Once the Black Hand marks you, you are ours.”

The Black Hand leaves its mark—an indelible symbol of ownership and power. To be marked by the Corsairs is to be under their protection or curse, depending on the relationship.
No Corsair shall take the mark of another without cause. Anyone who seeks to mark an enemy without the approval of the leadership risks losing their own mark.
The mark extends beyond death; the Corsairs will seek revenge on anyone who harms a marked individual.
3. The Rule of the Captain
“The Captain’s word is law.”

The Captain of the Black Hand Corsairs is the final authority in all matters. The Captain’s word cannot be disputed.
Leadership may change in time, but until then, all Corsairs must obey their Captain’s commands. Disrespect toward the Captain is punishable by death.
Challenges to the Captain’s rule can only occur through sanctioned duels or leadership trials—any attempt to undermine the Captain through subterfuge will be met with swift retribution.
4. The Code of the Pirate
“Take what is yours, and leave none to challenge you.”

Corsairs are free to take what they want—be it goods, ships, or lives. Piracy is the lifeblood of the Black Hand, and no Corsair should hesitate when opportunity presents itself.
Theft from fellow Corsairs or from the Black Hand’s coffers is forbidden and will result in execution. Loyalty to the gang comes before personal gain.
All loot is to be shared according to rank and contribution. Those who prove themselves through successful raids or missions will be rewarded, while those who falter or fail will see little to nothing.
5. The Brotherhood’s Pact
“We are a family, and family stands together.”

No Corsair shall be abandoned. If a fellow member is captured, stranded, or in peril, it is the responsibility of all Corsairs to assist them. A Corsair who turns their back on a comrade is no longer considered one of us.
Vengeance is sacred within the Black Hand. If a Corsair is wronged or killed by another faction or entity, the Corsairs will pursue vengeance until the blood debt is paid.
Acts of cowardice or abandoning comrades during missions will result in expulsion from the Corsairs—live or dead.
6. The Pact of Silence
“Loose lips sink ships, and loose Corsairs sink fleets.”

No Corsair shall ever speak of the Black Hand’s operations, plans, or leadership to outsiders. Any breach of confidentiality is considered high treason.
Discussions of the Corsairs’ activities are to take place in designated secure spaces only. All communications with non-Corsairs must be discreet and calculated.
Spies, informants, or traitors will be dealt with swiftly and without mercy.
7. The Golden Rule of the Black Hand
“The galaxy is our playground; those who oppose us will regret it.”

Corsairs do not shy away from war. We fight with intent, not for glory, but for survival. Rival factions, governments, or corporations who dare challenge the Black Hand must be prepared to face a relentless onslaught.
Corsairs must never leave a witness behind when executing a raid. Loose ends will come back to haunt you. Complete discretion is key.
If a Corsair falls in battle, their body will be recovered, and their soul will live on in the syndicate’s memory. They will be avenged, but their loss will not weaken the Black Hand—it will strengthen it.
8. The Right of Passage
“To join the Black Hand, you must prove your worth.”

Only those who demonstrate strength, cunning, and survival will be admitted into the Black Hand. All prospective Corsairs must prove their loyalty through initiation trials, which vary by leadership and current standing.
A member of the Black Hand is not born; they are forged through blood, fire, and steel. Failure to pass the trials will result in death or banishment.
All new members must swear an oath of loyalty to the Black Hand, promising to live and die by its rules.
9. The Price of Treachery
“The price for betrayal is death. The price for defying the Hand is extinction.”

Any Corsair who dares to defy these rules will be hunted, marked, and executed by their own brothers and sisters. The Black Hand holds no mercy for the weak or the treacherous.
Disobedience, betrayal, or weakness will result in execution without trial. The Black Hand values efficiency, and there is no place for those who cannot contribute to the cause.
By Order of the Black Hand Corsairs:

These rules are not suggestions; they are the bedrock of our power. Defy them, and you will no longer be part of the Black Hand.
We are more than pirates. We are a force that shapes the stars. Abandon your old life; embrace the chaos and power that comes with being a Corsair.
