Organization Overview
Black Suns takes inspiration from the Banu, who lack a rigid hierarchy. Like them, we work on projects through internal contracts. Our organization focuses on treasure hunting, crafting unique items, and trading with the wider Star Citizen community. We value our community and encourage teamwork and friendship. We welcome members who enjoy thoughtful discussion and meaningful game experiences. Acquire • Craft • Sell
BACKGROUND [WIP]:
As the Second Tevarin War loomed, the UEE began to comprehend the full extent of the Black Suns Syndicate’s infiltration. Special forces like the Advocacy were mobilized to reclaim the sectors under their control. However, before the UEE could fully regain control, the second Tevarin war erupted. Seizing this chaotic moment, the Black Suns Syndicate strategically integrated themselves into the UEE military, investing for the long term. Post-war, the Black Suns Syndicate’s influence permeated several other organizations, corporations, and even the UEE, extending their reach across the known systems.
The Black Suns Syndicate held massive reach and influence, extending their tendrils of corruption deep into the various interstellar governments. They were infamous for their involvement in piracy and smuggling. But piracy and smuggling were just the tip of the iceberg of the interstellar syndicate. Black Suns Syndicate were involved in every known type of illegal activity; with information, networks surpassed even the accuracy and scope of Imperial Intelligence. The resources available to the Black Suns rivaled those of a large planetary army, including foot soldiers.
The decline of the Black Suns Syndicate was closely intertwined with the fall of the Messer regime in 2792. As the UEE underwent a dramatic political shift, the syndicate’s carefully cultivated connections within the government began to unravel. The power vacuum left by the Messers’ ousting created instability that rippled through the criminal underworld, including the Black Suns.
This period of uncertainty led to increasing tensions among the syndicate’s sector leaders. With their political patrons gone and the new government actively working to root out corruption, the once-united front of the Black Suns began to crack. Sector leaders, accustomed to operating with significant autonomy, started to prioritize their individual interests over the syndicate’s collective goals.
The infighting escalated rapidly. Some sector leaders attempted to seize control of the entire organization, while others sought to break away and establish their own independent criminal enterprises. This internal strife weakened the Black Suns’ operations across multiple systems, making them vulnerable to both law enforcement crackdowns and rival criminal organizations.
As the conflicts intensified, the syndicate’s vast information networks and resource channels began to fragment. The organization that once rivaled planetary armies in strength found itself unable to maintain cohesion. The fall was swift and dramatic, with many of its top leaders either arrested by the reinvigorated Advocacy or eliminated by competing factions.
By the time the dust settled, the Black Suns Syndicate as it was known had effectively ceased to exist. Its remnants scattered across the galaxy, leaving behind a legacy of both infamy and lost potential.
After the fall of the Black Suns Syndicate, Commander James I. Solus of Borea, Magnus secured the role of Archduke and is currently attempting to bring the Black Suns back to its former seat of power in the verse. With the integration of the new Archduke, a new business model is reconstructing how the universe views the formally infamous syndicate. As the shift to becoming more lawful and honorable, the Black Suns have been approached with various accusations on the intentions for the lateral change. Archduke Solus attempts to dispute said claims by operating more transparently and engaging in more morally inclined contracts while still maintaining connections with the underground markets; “I believe if one wishes to operate outside the law, it’s still essential to understand why and how said laws work and to do what’s most beneficial for those affected by them.”. Archduke Solus has formed several alliances over his rule, some wishing to remain private as the now grey organization reforms.
