Lord knows that space isn’t an easy place to be.The Pirates. The Vanduul. Constantly fighting just to keep your ship in one piece. It almost seems like there is no way to be both successful and on the UEE’s good side; Unless someone started beating pirates at their own game.
That’s what a group of skilled pilots who were tired of having their cargo stolen realised and, with what little they had, they traded their ploughs for Mass Driver Cannons.
They Started fighting back.
This is when those pilots became Seraphs, and since then The Seraphs have been hunting the seemingly endless hordes of plunderers and plundering them right back. We protect those who lack the means to protect themselves and we hunt, fight and destroy and unfortunate pirate or marauder who crosses our path.
We are making the galaxy a safer place, whilst still making a profit on all the ill gotten wears, what are you doing? The Blue Seraphs is designed for a simple quest: Hunting and capturing the vessels of the foul individuals who believe themselves to be outside of the law, in the name of order in the UEE (And profit. Mostly profit really.)
We are corsairs.
We will take any job so long as it is on the right side of the law. Escorting cargo ships and explorers to even the furthest reaches of space for a reasonable fee, to raiding a pirate stronghold and reclaiming a stolen ship; Nothing is out of the question for The Blue Seraphs.
We are the antithesis of all that is diabolic and selfish in known space and we are what pirates should look out for when they peek under their bed, not any lone merc or the UEE. We are more organised and we will not stop until every citizen of the stars is safe.
We have very simple and clearly defined set of rules we have coined as “The Seraph’s Code”, that lay out what you need to be aware of upon joining:
# 0: Any changes made to the code must be agreed upon by the majority of the brotherhood’s members. This rule is a constant and cannot be changed.
1: All Members must be Citizens of the UEE. If Citizenship is lost, the member will be kicked out of the brotherhood.
2: During boarding operations, the providers of ships get one and a quarter share of the loot. The squad men get single shares. If the commander provides a high value ship, such as an Idris, he shall have two shares.
3: If a member wishes to keep a ship captured as part of bounty, he must receive a majority vote of approval from the group, and pay half shares of the lost value in compensation. The discount is provided in faith that he will use the ship for future success to the brotherhood.
4: If two members have quarrel, it shall be settled outside of the space of the brotherhood. A member may request restraining order, to keep in separate squads.
5: We consider ourselves allied to the Xi’an and the Banu, for they are good sources of trade. Any unprovoked attacks will not be tolerated.
6: Those who desert a party during an active raid will be kicked out of the company unless pardoned by their fellows or a sufficient reason.
7: Should a Seraph flagship come under attack, the entire brotherhood is ordered to come and assist as soon as possible. Failure to comply when able can be considered treason.
8: The responsibility of the ship is the pilot or captain’s own. If it is lost, the Seraphs will provide no compensation. Make sure that you are insured before flying out with us.
9: Any action from within or outside the company that is hostile in nature will be punished to the fullest extent that we can achieve.
10: Shares will not be provided to members who do not contribute to raids in a meaningful way, members need to keep their equipment up to par in order to achieve this.
