A small private security group that can be used for area defense of facilities and homesteads or a small strike force for offensive operations. Specializing in small ship strikes and fleet augmentation to add fighter screens to larger fleets while maintaining support and repair capabilities.
Founded in 2945 by Alex Church – a former UEE Navy Pilot from a battle hardened Gladiator squadron – the organization Combat Protective Services came into being riding on the back of the Militia Mobilization Initiative: a new law that allowed for civilians to purchase formerly classified/restricted ships and weapons. Alex saw this as a massive double edge sword, with the high chance of these weapons falling into pirate hands. Thus, set out to create a private security organization that specialized in using smaller mobile ships to repel attacks and even strike back when needed. Doing this made it possible for a small mobile and cost effective fighting force to be deployed against such groups. Limited at first, CPS struggled with range as the larger carrier ships were not available due to the more humble funding the ex military veteran could muster. This all changed at the introduction of the Anvil Liberator. With the assistance of investors, Alex was able to purchase and immediately begun the development of new tactics still in use by CPS today. While other long range security fleets rely on larger ships with high expense, the Liberator gave CPS the ability to quickly and efficiently transport their fighters to far away battlefields or embed in fleets to provide an extra layer of fighter support, leading to the more cost effective light carrier doctrine to be adopted. Upon the success of the new doctrine the cost of CPS’s security services for industrial companies lowered and increased business, allowing for the organization to eventually begin to afford ships such as the Crucible and Vulcan to aid in supporting the fighter fleet assigned to the Liberator. This allowed for longer deployment times and extra services that could be offered. CPS – though still small – now stands at the ready to assist the smaller organizations and homesteaders that could not originally afford to have security on call. CPS is here to protect the little guys and keep them safe even through the most violent of claim deputes or targeted attacks from the pirates CPS was created to stand against.
The Intentions of CPS is to provide a affordable Security force for smaller and lower income organizations focusing on smaller fighter deployments from light carriers.
The motives are to allow the industrial and cargo focused orgs to be able to operate in areas that normally contains a higher likely hood of enemy combatants.
The views of CPS is that we will only provide assistance and take security contracts form lawful Organization. The law should be followed during operations unless it leads to unnecessary danger of the client or CPS pilots
1. All members of CPS will be treated equally regardless of age, gender, or life choices and will be held to the same standard
2. Those designated in the chain of command will have the authority to organize operations and subsequently submit writeups to be reviewed for breach of Charter
3. Any intentional breach of user agreement or general griefing of others both within and outside of CPS will lead to the removal from organization.
4. When operating under CPS the UEE laws will be followed unless leading to unnecessary danger of CPS pilots and those we are contracted to protect. If a crime stat is gained outside of a CPS operation all fines must be cleared at the earliest opportunity out of the member’s own funds and if fines can not be paid the member must turn themselves in and serve/work off sentences. Any fines gained during CPS operation will be financed by the org.
5. Affiliate organizations will be held to the same standard when operation in conjunction to CPS, if affiliate organization fails to uphold the standard set by CPS then any contract will be void and will be open for renegotiation after a short passing of time. Continued failure to meet standard may result in removal of contract negotiation for a case determined time.
6. Commander and Owner of CPS has the final say in any case or situation involving the org and its members.
