East Interstellar Trading Company / EASTTRADER

Founded recently as a cooperative alliance, what started out as a petty treatise between modest cargo runners quickly grew into a robust merchant fleet; Touting the social pillars of law, commerce and security, the East Interstellar Trading Company (formerly the East Interstellar Trade Charter) comprises a fleet of chartered merchantman traders who operate as some form of privy contractors within the confines of the terms of trade, Frigateer Marines which perform many of the boarding and escorting duties of company fleets, and trade magnates who direct the resources of the company and safeguard its members interests.

While anyone can charter themselves under the flags and tags of the EITC, many of the civilians who have taken up this quest for commercial frontiers still retain bitter memories of their encounters with pirates and raiders from their life planetside – as such the EITC refuses to work with pirates, and a strong culture of lawfulness pervades the company to this day… after all, being taken to customs court is an expensive and profit slimming experience one seeks to avoid.
