Those who fail to adapt become victims of Evolution.
- This is the genuine Evolution corporation which first began in Homeworld and is well known throughout the EVE Online universe. The other organization is not founded by the genuine Sir Molle. Further information at http://www.eve-evol.com/forums
Our Board of Directors will unveil our official corporate statements soon. Please come back for updated information.
What’s Evolution about?
Most of all, to have fun, that is the most foremost reason for us. We hang out together, do stuff together, and help each other. Think team, be team.
How do I keep up to date on whats happening and where?
IRC, and Teamspeak is a must. For irc, we use stratics server (irc.stratics.com) in the channel #evol (passworded channel, speak to your “daddy”), we also have a open channel #eve-evo where anyone can go. Teamspeak is where we taunt each other, laff around, and in battle, we kill stuff with surgical precision. TS details can be found on IRC. Make sure you read corp mails, and pay attention to the IRC topic in particular. These places will usually contain information on where you should be.
Evolution Primer
Introduction:
If you are reading this, your personal Evolution has begun. You’ve joined a group of crazy friends, who happen to play a game together, called Eve. Some of you know a little about our corp, some of you may know very little, this shall be my attempt, to help ease you into your transition. In this primer, I am going to cover some BASICS. Let’s get started.
Evol 101:
Evol is Team.
Evol is not a democracy. Molle runs Evolution. Even at his advanced age, he manages to stay about 5 steps ahead of ALL of us.
Leaders:
There are various directors, more then I shall list here. You will get to know them all in due time. What matters most is that the directors are just ppl who are like you , with added jobs to take care of.
Corp Activities:
A common misconception is that Evolution is a purely PVP corporation. This is not true, we have a very large and well organised industrial base also. We wouldn’t be able to fight the way we do, without it. Our industrial team and Logistics division put in a LOT of time so that members can have nice shiny ships to pvp in. Please lend them a hand however you can.
Forums:
Evolution does not have a no-posting policy, however let me say a few things. When you post something on the forums, it can have very unintended effects. Before you hit post, I would like you to ask yourself two questions. “Will this make my corp look idiotic?” and, “Will this affect our corp/alliance?”
New Members:
You will each be given a “daddy” who will be responsible for you. If you need anything, have any questions, you need to let them know. Ask your daddy for the following- TS info. Irc info.
Teamspeak:
Evolution uses teamspeak. You NEED to be on it. If you are not, you will not be joining corp/alliance operations.
A few TS basics. Keep TS chatter to a minimum. In Fleet operations, do not speak unless you have information you feel is vital to the fleet commanders situational awareness. Do not talk about your night out, play music, your skill training plans, or anything else. It is a distraction to all and will not be tolerated. Their are Evolution specific channels to chit chat in, and get to know your corpmates, as well as an alliance lounge to chat with alliance members in.
Important- From time to time people in other corps will join us on our TS server, or, we may have an opportunity to join them on theirs. DO NOT discuss corp information not related to the operation at hand. Do NOT discuss our office locations, blueprints, sales, plans, internal structure, anything. DO NOT go into other corp channels unless invited.
IRC/Jabber:
IRC must be used. This is not optional. We seldom if ever use ingame chat. If you need help configuring IRC, speak to your daddy or check the biatch forums.
Jabber is used to notify you of ops and other important issues. If you need help setting this up please tell your Daddy.
