Mission Statement

HexIndustries mines and refines quality materials needed by factories and shipyards throughout the ‘verse in order to assist in the development of the frontier, while impairing any pirate who attempts to impede our progress.

Our Intentions

HexIndustries plans to profit mostly from mining and refining operations in low sec space. Income earned from these operations will fund ships, equipment, property, etc. that will give our members a more successful and enjoyable experience. Although we will be focusing on resource gathering, we will not turn down other opportunities on the frontier. We will not participate in piracy, however.

As a small organization on the frontier, our members will likely be working closely with one another and with other organizations that share our values (e.g. CASH). We will likely often be targeted by pirates, so our pilots should be prepared for combat and/or bring escorts.

Code of Conduct

Members of HexIndustries are expected to:

• act within the law
• make ethical decisions that maintain the company’s positive image
• use sportsmanlike behavior (no cheating).
• cooperate and communicate with fellow team members
• take responsibility for personal actions
• have fun!

Roles and Responsibilities

The chief officer positions are intended to give HexIndustries some structure and organization, not to enable high ranking members to order people around. All members have the freedom to pursue the activities they enjoy within the bounds of the code of conduct.

Chief Officers

Chief Executive Officer

• Sets the pace and direction for the company as a whole

Chief Operating Officer

• Manages the day to day details of business activities
• Ensures each product meets desired quality
• Tracks equipment and ship inventory
• Coordinates logistics

Chief Financial Officer

• Manages the company’s economic health
• Proposes budgets
• Tracks spending and revenue
• Spreadsheets!

Member Ranks and Titles

Actual privileges held by a member’s rank will be determined as more information becomes available.

Rank 4: Associate Director – TBD
Rank 3: Coordinator – TBD
Rank 2: Specialist III – TBD

Decision Making Process

This section of the charter exists only in the event of major disagreements or conflicts within the organization. All active members of HexIndustries will be given an equal vote in these decisions. Day to day activities will not require using this process.

Actions that may require this process

• Electing the CEO and other Chief Officers
• Expelling a member from the organization (typically in response to the member breaking the code of conduct)
• Purchasing assets with corporate funds over a certain cost

The Process

• Reasonable notice must be given to all members beforehand
• The subject of the discussion will be stated
• In an orderly fashion, each side will be allowed to communicate their viewpoint
• Members will move to continue discussion, to vote, or to table the vote for another time
• Voting may occur by chat or VoIP during a meeting, or submitted within a reasonable amount of time after the meeting if the member is unable to attend
