If we can’t take a bucket and spade, what is the point in going?
Have you heard of the Big Bang? No? Neither had we until we tried piloting our first space-going vessel. Apparently rocket fuel can get quite excitable when introduced to strangers at parties. Rather like several of our members but with less conflagration.
We still haven’t quite got the scorch marks out of our lycra body stockings.
Where was I? Oh yes, in the years before the ancients took to the skies, the Hussars were formed as a … (what’s the opposite of elite?) … slapdash fighting force designed to operate behind friendly lines (and enemy lines if really pushed) in gathering intelligence, crashing into things, blowing themselves up and playing tiddly-winks in the face of the enemy. We were formed in the heady days of 1942 and for some reason refused to fade away, popping up in the jungles of Vietnam, the 20th century Middle East, various other conflicts and even (thanks to wormhole technology and a mutated can of Stella) in the futuristic battlefields of Auraxis and the space lanes of the Sirius sector.
And now, we are here.
The Hussars Galactic Group are the SC iteration of the Hussars Gaming Group.
Our intention is to do what we do in other games – have fun and enjoy ourselves, while maintaining our commitment to playing fair and treating others with respect.
We can be found doing any number of things such as trading, exploring, skirmishing, and finding new and exciting ways to blow ourselves up.
There may be some mining as well. Because that is how we rock.
This game also has airlocks so I expect there will be a few innuendo related accidents as well.
We are not aligned to any faction or territory, nor are we bound by any one ethos. We will generally fight for what we think is right and to support our friends and allies. Unless that is, we succumb to a Toilet-duck fueled binge – in which case it is anyone’s guess.
HGG is an independent group that seeks to operate in all regions for purposes of trade, exploration and defence.
We are born from the honourable roots of the 1st Hussars (Mechanised) regiment and hold to their values wherever we operate.
