House Hinata is a very unique organization centered around Star Citizen’s permanent death. We encourage you to continue reading below to learn more about our radical new approach.

History

House Hinata is basically two organizations in one: “The Mercantile Coalition” & then “House Hinata” proper.

The Mercantile Coalition:

House Hinata’s rank of “Mercantile Coalition”, is described in greater detail in the Charter section, and exists in House Hinata as a means to pool players together from OTHER organizations, and create missions for them, and create for them exciting opportunity and player driven content with House Hinata and it’s allies. You don’t have to role-play to be a member of the Mercantile Coalition, but you do have to become a member to acquire jobs and be posted as an available a crew hand for hire. If you think it might be fun, please read the House Hinata Charter.

The Blood Heirs, Hands of Hinata, & Juujigan of Light:

The House Hinata organization is a mysterious and dangerous place with many secret sects and unique personalities. As a member of the Mercantile Coalition you are in a unique “try before you buy” position. If you find you are enjoying the role-play, or you are simply curious, you can choose to delve deeper into Machiavellian tapestry of Hinata, and the mysterious quest and purpose of the Juujigan of Light. However, being a member of House Hinata comes with it many dangers and has some very unique aspects centered around Star Citizen’s death penalty. If you’re curious about how House Hinata as an organization has incorporated the Star Citizen death penalty, please check out our Manifesto for more details.

If you would like to learn more about House Hinata, it’s lore, some of it’s internal groups, and diverse and oft at times at odds factions, or you are curious how you might be able to plug in your role play organization to what we are doing, we encourage you again, to visit our website: House Hinata

Manifesto

Hello, fellow citizens. House Hinata is a very unique role-play guild centered around the equally unique death penalty in Star Citizen. Essentially, all the leader positions held in a typical organization, are in the eyes of House Hinata, held by your in-game character, and NOT by you as a person in real life, or by your Star Citizen account. Thus, when your in game character eventually dies (or is retired), your faction and standing with House Hinata is reset very much like it will be in the actual game with NPC factions. Your heir may maintain some influence based on your previous character’s standing, but there is absolutely no guarantee that the role your previous character held will still be held by your heir. In fact, death is also a major means of advancement, and while your death is unfortunate, the death of your adversaries could catapult you to the highest offices. House Hinata offers a rich tapestry rife of political intrigue, lore, mystery, and tradition that nearly any player with an imagination can plug in their character …all the while offering some some real and acute consequences to your role-play!

How might you die, you may be asking? You might from die pirates as you explore the universe or undertake a critical trade mission on behalf of the Mercantile Coalition. You might die defending House Hinata bravely against her enemies at the behest of a Blood Heir, and you might die later dueling that same Blood Heir in a challenge to usurp his authority. Or maybe, you die in a boarding action by a pirate group hired in by a secret Hinata sect whom you committed offense, or maybe maybe you are persecuted as a heretic by the Juujigan of Light? Or just maybe, you don’t die at all because instead, your adversaries found their own deaths first by one or many of these things, and many more, and you climbed over their corpses and now direct House Hinata’s power in your own direction. What will YOU do with the power of House Hinata?

Would you like to role-play in an organization that will let you achieve the highest levels of office and possibly change the direction of the organization completely, such as from a Bounty Hunter / Explorer based organization to one that actively promotes piracy? All of this through role-play and skillful play? House Hinata might just be for you! Take the first step, and join the Mercantile Coalition. The universe, literally, is your only limit.

Charter

House Hinata is most widely known today for our Mercantile Coalition, which is a loose, “work at will” rank of House Hinata that is offered to members of other organizations. Think of the rank of “Mercantile Coalition” like joining a Star Citizen temp agency and loyalty to House Hinata is not expected. The House Hinata Mercantile Coalition is merely for temporary employment for ship captains and able crew. Being assigned the rank of Mercantile Coalition does not confer rights in House Hinata, nor does it have any direct responsibility with House Hinata. You are free to come and go as you please.

  • Rank: Mercantile Coalition anyone that would like to maintain a business association with House Hinata for opportunity, and has been in contact with House Hinata in the past month. This is an excellent choice for crew hands seeking a ship to crew, captains looking for crew hands, hunters looking for bounties, smugglers looking for contacts, and traders looking for an honest day’s work, or just to way to interact actively with other organizations. You may maintain your other organizational affiliations.

Your application to the Mercantile Coalition is NOT a pledge to House Hinata, it is merely a pledge to be potentially available and fit for service if and when jobs are passed down through House Hinata and it’s affiliates or allies. Your application does not guarantee employment or contract work, and as a member you may refuse any position if and when it becomes available.

House Hinata does not enforce how Mercantile Coalition members work or who they work with. House Hinata does reserve the right to terminate any member for any reason. Failure to successfully complete a mission you have actively retained through the Mercantile Coalition may include fines, and/or punitive actions if negligence or gross incompetence can be established. In the unfortunate event of your death, your named heir will be granted honorary membership, but under a probationary status.
