Welcome to our Union, we’re a group of independent captains and crews whose decided it’s better to have numbers on our sides. Feel free to check out the rest of our page and offer to join up.
“Magnus: On the Edge of the Unknown!” or so reads the local government travel brochure says. Really though, recently its been increasingly becoming the overall civilization in a system that considers itself the unofficial capital of Human frontier culture. Companies like Drake saw to that. Not many of us can really complain though, Drake make good ships, and good ships means good space travel.
Now I’m not going to claim Drake sponsors us, but damn would it be nice if they did. Half the folk that fly with us use their ships. Mostly because the lot of us are from Magnus, but hey, beggars and what not. So what’s the history behind the IDSU? Real simple. We grew up in the frontier. On the edge of the unknown and watched the frontier grow into something more. We just kept that mentality. One ship, one crew. Not a favorable number out in the ‘verse really. So the founders got together and formed up a little fleet of opportunists. The folk that like having numbers but not a lot of rules so now we run together. For better and worse I suppose. Not long enough history for you? Well hey. We’re just getting off the ground, not much to record down yet.We ain’t out here to ruin folks lives. We’re just a bunch of captains and crews that fly together when needed. Like a big ol’ family.
We keep things simple. Respect each other. Respect the rules of flying with us, and you’ll get on just fine.
We got three major rules, the rest is case-by-case of whose ship you’re on.
Rule one! So listen up.
We don’t haul slaves and we don’t enslave either. Folk have it bad enough here with the crushing laws of the UEE, pirates feeding off their blood, and the damned aliens eating them. Don’t need to make it harder on them at our hands.
Rule two! Simple ain’t it?
Don’t go pirating folk. Like before the ‘verse is a hell of a pain for many folk. We don’t have to make it worse on them. But that doesn’t mean don’t take payment for helping them. It’s still a give and take ‘verse and we have to eat too.
Rule three!
Each ship is independent, so one Captain might have different rules then the rest of us on his vessel, try and be a good fella and be respectful of them, they’ve full right to put a round through you if y’decide to wrong them.
So that’s it, if you can live with that, well, you’re welcome to take our banner.
