We can move things from point A to point B with no questions asked.
We can eliminate problematic ships for you.
We can capture fugitives.
We can escort you across the ‘verse.
But if you cross us, you’re a dead man.
We are the Lakota.
The Lakota started smuggling back in the 22nd century when we realized that relying on the government for everything wasn’t the best idea. Ever since then, the Lakota has had a tradition of being an organization that isn’t afraid to have trouble with the law. The government never helped us, so we don’t really worry about laws. We cooperate with lawmen on the rim, bringing in bounties and such, but we don’t submit to anyone’s rule.
The Lakota have been around for over a thousand years. We survived this long because way back in the 19th century, we learned a valuable lesson: never submit to authority. The Lakota are fiercely independent, never going out of our way to worry about laws. We will help the government out once in a while (for a price) but other than that, they have learned to leave us alone.
Be honorable
Never submit to authority
Never betray the tribe
Leave no survivors
