“I thought what I’d do was I’d pretend I’d muted the chat.”

That way I wouldn’t have to have any stupid useless conversations.

History

The Laughing Koffing was initially formed as a bit of a joke.

I sought to poke fun at the many guilds and organizations made in the image of anime and other media as I felt taking the name of a guild from an anime was silly, and having 5 or 6 of these on a single server was absurd.

Initially formed for personal friends I met others who could appreciate the joke and the references online. Though the L.K. is not and will not be large, fun will be had.

The meaning behind it all:

Laughing Coffin: A group of lawless PKers from Sword Art Online Anime. Often pirate groups and PvP heavy guilds will take this name as their own.

Koffing: A pokemon and the pun meant to poke fun at the above.

Laughing Man: The logo is based on “The Laughing Man” from Ghost in the shell. The original quote around the outside was from a piece of J.D. Salinger’s work by the same name. “I thought what I’d do was I’d pretend I was one of those deaf mutes” The quote in the book continues on “So I wouldnt have to have anymore stupid useless conversations”

The sentiment I mean to take here is I too am sick of those on the internet trying to take things far too seriously.

The adapted quote for our logo is “I thought what I’d do was I’d pretend I’d muted the chat” If you recall almost any MMO with global or even just a faction chat you may share the same sentiment. Its all stupid useless conversation.
