Merc Corps was formed during a time of loss in the verse. A group of former Battlefield mercenaries joined together as the fight moved from the ground to space. Now they venture under the MC banner to explore ALL aspects of money making in the verse no matter the cost.
It all began on the battlefields of Vietnam. Soldiers became friends. Friends became family. Their young lives grew hardened through all the wars that would come across them. From World War II to the battles of 2142, war has been a constant in their lives and with every new clone, they have learned one thing… life is only as good as your next respawn.
In the battles of the 2nd war on the Battlefield, recruitment was difficult but rewarding. With a great new crew attached to them, they would become well know veterans between the multiple battles in the various different cities. They ran with grunts as well as Special Forces from the Road to Jalalabad to the City of Mashtuur, they were a plague to any who stood in their way. Often providing support in the “Taco Barn” Blackhawk, Merc Corps was a force to be reckoned with.
After the 2nd war ended, there was a short respice before the 3rd Battlefield engagement was upon them. Learning to better operate as a team and move the force from position to postion, Merc Corps leaned on their experience from previous battlefields to dominate and control the forces that attempted to take over their positions.
Merc Corps would come out of the 3rd war with a few less members, some would retire and hang up their boots, some ventured to Valhalla and continue to support the team from there as they rolled into the 4th engagement of the Battlefield. During this battle, Merc Corps would pull in some younger recruits to help with the changing pace of the “New War.” The new war brought on challenges that MC had not seen on the battlefield and the younger recruits were quick to show the old guys the ropes. The new recruits had faster reaction times, quicker movements and a knowledge of the battlefield that the older model Mercs did not. The new models would become the spear of the Merc Corps and rallied to help keep the MC domination alive.
Rolling out of the 4th engagement, it was quite a few years before the wars would errupt on the Battlefield in 2042. The wars of 2042 brought on new weapons and new challenges. The older MC members were quick to return to the battle and learn some of the new aspects being used on the field of battle. Drones, stealth choppers and new technological advancements plagued the battlefield and almost forshadowed the future of the fight. The young recruits from the 4th war were quick to pick up their swords and continue to dominate in the name of MC. But at the end of the war, many would move on to bigger life changes and leave the battlefield behind.
In 2142, the clones of the Merc Corps vets were brought again into the Battlefield. The war had shown the vast improvement in technology since the battles of 2042. A century of technology was seen in the armored mechs, rail guns, launched drop pods and massive Titan ships looking to dominate the air. Many battles were fought on the Titan ships and many Titans were brought to the ground at the hands of MC. The battle raged on for many years and finally took the fight out of some of the hardened veterans of MC.
After the battles of 2142, MC moved to the stars and became citizens of the verse. Now the warriors of MC are found out in the verse Salvaging, Mining, running Cargo, doing the occasional hunt for a bounty, delivering packages for some clients and even enganging in some Piracy when the funds require it. It seems that most of the older members of MC have retired now and while the family still remains whole and new members seem to join through word of mouth, the core group continues to remember the hard fought days on the many battlefields over the years. Whether we are regenerating in Area 18 or leisurely strolling through Orison or New Babbage, Merc Corps is always ready for a scrap and, if need be, a fight to the death, anything to stay out of Klescher!
Merc Corps is a bunch of guys that have been playing FPS games with eachother for nearly 20 years. We are here to have fun first and foremost, but we are definitely interested in learning all aspects of Star Citizen. Anything we can learn that helps us make money is the goal.

Merc Corps only current public rule is “Don’t be a dick!” We love to joke around and push buttons, but if someone says it has gone too far and you don’t stop, we will take action. So don’t be a dick and have fun and we are good. :)
