History

Manga Industrial Group is the Star Citizen arm of our IRC channel that was founded on July 2, 2004.

The channel was founded by a cohort of internet2 college students as well as manga scanlators and anime fansubbers as a private place to converse about important topics relevant to the group.

Over the years, the channel has transformed as the group has aged and now is a generalized chat where we talk about a variety of topics including anime/manga, technology, sports, politics, entertainment, and virtually anything and everything.

As far as gaming goes, most of the gamers in the group play co-op games either on Steam or other platforms.

Manifesto

Our organization’s goal is to focus on providing the best atmosphere for our individual members to prosper in the game universe.

The Manga Industrial Group is generally going to be a trading and freelancing group. What that means is that we’re going to focus on empowering ourselves financially as a group as well as allowing our individual members to define their own play-style and pursue their own objectives.

Charter

We have three major policies.

Policy #1) Our main Rizon channel is private, and it must remain that way. If you apply and are accepted, you should join us in there to get to know the people that have been in there for the past 10+ years.

Policy #2) Everyone is treated fairly and equally. We aren’t going to have well-defined ranks since we plan to operate more informally in most circumstances. If we’re in a situation where we need a more defined structure, we would expect such a structure to be put into place naturally during a discussion of a specific course of action.

Policy #3) Have fun. That’s the main reason we’re all here.
