Misericorde is a Private Military Corporation dedicated to getting the job done to the full extent of our employer’s wishes, whether that be hunting a bounty, repossessing target ships, or providing security for trading organizations.
History
A misericorde (/ˌmɪzərɪˈkɔrd/ or /-zɛrɪ-/) was a long, narrow knife, used in medieval times to deliver the death stroke (the mercy stroke, hence the name of the blade, derived from the Latin misericordia, “act of mercy”) to a seriously wounded knight.
Misericorde was founded in 2546 at the beginning of the Messer Era. During Messer’s reign as prime citizen Misericorde saw much action during the second Tevarin war. During the beginning of the Vanduul raids in the former Tevarin systems, Misericorde was hired by many planets as security forces when the UEE was stretched too thin.
In the modern era, Misericorde sticks to what they have been doing for centuries, exchanging military services for a fair price.
