The Okon Brothers became well known within the… ‘underbelly’ of the star systems by flaunting their outrageous claims that they are decedent of Abeni Okon. The first human not born of earth.
Or maybe it was the fact that they refused to pay mafia and gang related taxes for running an illegal operation in syndicate territory.

Whatever reason you might have for knowing The Okon Brothers one thing is pretty clear. They pull off good jobs with small crews and manage to evade the authorities and crime syndicates alike.

The gang came up quick. Humble beginnings seemed to never be a problem for The Okon Brothers Gang. They hit hard and they hit fast both in politics and action stealing more than 100,000 UEC from two EvilOrg ‘DRAKE Caterpillars’. They stalked the shipment from an unmarked drug lab on Yela and followed it though quantum space to a location close to a regular R&R stop. Common speculation is that the shipment was heading toward Huston to be smuggled into and distributed in Loreville. No word of this being true has come from any information brokers whos reputation is worth believing. This left rival gangs to believe that EvilOrg is keeping quiet to help better protect future shipments. How The Okon Brothers came into this trade route information or that the shipment was even happening at this particular time is any mans guess. The hard core Gang activity of the EvilOrg makes them a group no one really wants to have trouble with. But never the less 100,000 lost. 100,000 gained.

This was the start of The Okon Brothers effect of the underbelly of the ‘Stanton System’. Since the 100k Caterpillar Clap Down rival gangs have resorted to spy tactics in order to find out who The Okon Brothers are although this has proven harder than first thought. The original crew to hit the EvilOrg are unknown let alone the number of ‘Brothers’ or even the biological relation. All high ranking members of the Okon gang are greeted with ‘Brother’ and given the title Okon to play into this confusion. Only one thing is known for sure. The gang is indeed run by blood related brothers. One drop of blood from one of the brothers could prove the relation of each and every one of the family members leaving the Gang vulnerable but as long as anonymity is prevalent in the gang their is no logical reason to pay thousands for a bounty on a false target and risking an all out gang war. This control of information is what allows the brothers to pull of large scale cons & smuggling runs. This control of information is what protects the brothers from United Empire of Earth Advocacy. And more importantly this control of information is what protects The Okon Brothers Gang from rival syndicates.

Manifesto

The organisation prides itself on the professionalism and ability of its members and Council to meet community needs. The organisation strives to be a leading service provider of unethical missions and to maintain relations both galaxy and universe wide.

This Code of Conduct is designed to ensure that all members, ranking officers, the appointed chairman, and all council members are treated in a manner that reflects the mission, culture, government-enforced legislation, gang-related rulesets and, unspoken creeds of lawless systems that are in an alinement with current Okan Gang council leadership and operation territory.

The council is expected at all times to lead in a way that follows and empowers the organisational quote.

“Piracy is expected, Lawlessness is encouraged, Reputation is everything.”

Organisation members are expected to embody the quote in their work.

Charter

Roles and Expectations

Off-Hand

Our tier zero contractors are expected on ground operations only. Off-Hands work closely with our runners and are expected to be able to cross security outposts and maintain information networks of their area of operations. This information will be our Off-Hands number one source of income and they are paid handsomely in return “Fair work for Fair Pay”.

Useful information will include stock and trade prices for maximum cargo profits i.e. if you hear one of our captains is carrying gold and is looking to sell we expect you to relay buying prices of your block or other players/organizations so the captain can make an informed decision.

Runner

Our tier one contractors the Runners are expected to have a small spaceship with some cargo space (Starter ships like the Aurora or the Mustang are completely acceptable). The primary operation of the Runners is to carry goods from Captains ships to satellites, outposts, mines, cities or other. If an Off-Hand is in operations at the location of the drop the Runner is expected to communicate with the Off-Hand and deliver the goods to the individual of the gang and return to his/her fleet Captain.

Able Bodied Smuggler (AKA. ABS)

Our tier two contractors are the foundation of our fleet. There is no ship quality requirement for this tier although a medium sized fighter is recommended if you do not find a place on a Captains ship. ABS are expected to maintain a personal arsenal of weapons for ground control and ship boarding. ABS members are also expected to know the ins & outs of at least one aspect of Large ship maintenance such as Engineering, Salvage arm control, Tractor beam control, Advanced scanning systems etc.

Minute Men

The Okon Brothers Gang is well known for their Minute Men. This role is no short order and is only given to experienced players with well developed skills & hefty arsenals. Ship requirements see that Minute Men have at least one medium sized [Stock] fighter (no hybrid type ships). The Minute Men are the main militant force of the Okon Brothers Gang and their primary objective is to protect the Gangs activities from rivals and authorities of different systems. Minute Men may also be expected to carry out bounties or other aggressive actions (these requests can be denied and are not necessary to maintain the rank or your position in the Gang. These requests can only be authorized by your assigned Ranking Minute Men Lieutenant, Capitan or Okon Brothers Gang founder).

Minute Men with the Recruiter role are considered a higher rank than regular Minute Men similar to a Minute Men ‘Lieutenant’
