Preamble
We, the members of the Orthodox Covenant, unite in faith, tradition, and purpose to uphold the teachings of the Orthodox Church and promote unity and spirituality across the galaxy.
Article I: Membership
Eligibility: Membership is open to all who embrace the Orthodox faith and commit to the principles of our covenant.
Application: Prospective members must submit an application and undergo an interview with a designated guild official.
Conduct: Members are expected to maintain conduct that reflects the values and teachings of the Orthodox Church.
Article II: Hierarchical Structure
Patriarch: The highest authority, responsible for spiritual leadership and overall governance.
Cardinals: Senior advisors to the Patriarch Prime, overseeing major regions and special tasks.
Archbishops: Leaders of specific dioceses within the guild, reporting to the Cardinals.
Bishops: Key leaders responsible for local areas and administrative duties.
Prelates: Distinguished clergy members with various responsibilities.
Lay Members: Faithful individuals who contribute to the guild’s mission through participation and support.
Article III: Governance and Decision-Making
Council of Cardinals: A governing body consisting of the Patriarchs, responsible for major decisions and policies.
Synod Meetings: Regular meetings of the Council of Cardinals and Archbishops to discuss and resolve matters of importance.
Consensus: Decisions shall be made by consensus, with input from all levels of the hierarchy.
Article IV: Duties and Responsibilities
Spiritual Duties: Members are expected to participate in guild liturgies, prayers, and spiritual activities.
Community Service: Members shall engage in acts of charity and support for fellow guild members and the broader community.
Cultural Preservation: Members are encouraged to preserve and promote Orthodox traditions, art, and culture.
Article V: Code of Conduct
Respect: Members shall treat each other with respect and kindness, fostering a supportive and spiritual environment.
Integrity: Members shall act with honesty and integrity, upholding the principles of the Orthodox faith.
Discipline: Members who violate the code of conduct may be subject to disciplinary actions, including suspension or expulsion.
Article VI: Amendments
Proposal: Amendments to this charter may be proposed by any member in good standing.
Approval: Amendments shall be approved by a majority vote of the Council of Patriarchs and ratified by the Patriarch Prime.
