Ohio United Drills Squadron / OUDS

We as members of Ohio United Drills Squadron strive to explore the boundaries of the know universe excavating the unknown.
We obey the laws and directives of the United Empire of Earth, and strive to make a living without the need for lawlessness.
With the glare of cosmic rays in our helms we journey forth to find the most lucrative locations in our cosmic neighborhood and bring discovery to our people!

The Laws of the Organization

• If violated, members will be subject to fine, loss of status, or expulsion from the organization depending on the Offense

Felonies

• Acts deemed unforgivable by the organization, and as such the highest punishment is attributed to these actions.

Murder

• Under no circumstance should members murder another member of the organization. Exceptions to this rule are outlined below:
1. Another member is disregarding a direct order from a superior, which could result in loss of life, property, or cargo.
   • Example: Nat¹ operates the helm of a RSI Constellation and refuses to pilot when under direct fire, in this scenario Nat is creating an unnecessary situation inflating the risk to the crew by refusing to pilot the ship.
2. Another member is blatantly griefing another members property which could result in financial losses.
   • Example: Nat jettisons your recently found cargo into the void of space.
3. Another member is attempting to murder you without explaining the reasoning behind his/her actions. You have a right to defend yourself.
   • Example: Nat is trolling you.

Espionage

• No member shall willfully deceive another member for personal gain or work for an outside agency to gather information.
1. Another member is working for another organization to gain our secret information.
   • Example: Nat works for Sydney’s Nanite Sales Administration (NSA) and deceives the organization as an intelligence agent to gather our secret star coordinates.
2. Another member leads other members into a trap.
   • Example: Nat is on the helm of a RSI Constellation, while secretly “pming” Admiral Ackbar’s Street Gang our coordinates for a preemptive strike against us.

Desertion

• No member shall willingly abandon their post without permission from a superior officer on duty in the event of armed conflict.
1. If you are a coward than don’t commit in the first place.
   • Example: PFC Nathaniel Salmonella having just returned from military duty decides to leave his battle station upon attack from a Vandul raiding party.

Misdemeanors

• Acts that are excusable by the organization, they warrant anything from hefty fines to a slap on the wrist.

Trolling

• While the objectives of any game are to have fun, no member is to infringe on another members playing experience. Details are outlined below:
1. No member shall annoy another member by spamming. This includes:
   • Text Spaming: Utilizing Text or macro services to spam a string of letters or phrases.
     • Example: Nat spams the in game text chat, or spams forum posts with the same string of words or phrases³.
   • VOIP Spaming: Utilizing Voice Over Internet Protocol to annoy fellow members.
     • Example: Sydney continually plays YouTube videos⁴ over voice chat to annoy his fellow members.
     • Example 2: Sydney yells obscenities and spams⁵ over VOIP to annoy his fellow members.
2. No member shall abuse the environment to prevent other members from reaching their goals.
   • Example: Nat pilots an Aegis Dynamics Idris-P Frigate and uses his ship to block the entrance of another members asteroid hangar thereby preventing the other member from entering.

Herping The Derp

• Accidents happen, and should be expected and accounted for. With that being said if a member continually causes negative impact against the organization by being reckless, a klutz, or just a general imbecile than punishment should be enacted to prevent future calamities. Details outlined below:
1. Recklessness
   • Example: Mark, operating a Aegis Dynamics Idris-P Frigate, decides to Leroy Jenkins an entire Tevarin armada without tactically thinking about his decision and as a result causes the deaths of his fellow crew members.
2. Klutziness
   • Example: Mark piloting a freshly captured Bengal Class Carrier accidentally crashes it into a nearby asteroid belt.
3. Imbecile
   • Example: Mark frequently asks dumb questions, such as “How do I buy this game?” “How do I fly a Hornet?” “How do I operate the HoloTable?”

United Empire of Earth (UEE) Laws and Regulations

• As subject under line² of the OUDS Manifesto, we as members will obey the laws and regulations as set by the UEE. Failure to comply with these rules will be met with punishment by the supervisor in charge. If punishment seems too severe for the action committed reference an organization admin for appeal.
