Primal Instinct is a small, tight-knit, community focused on PvP, industry, and commerce. Since 2001, our core team has played a wide range of PvP games, such as Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), Warhammer Online, Shaiya, Guild Wars 1 and 2, World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, SWTOR, Eve Online, Albion Online, Elder Scrolls Online, and more recently Destiny 2. In all of them, our team has managed to propel Primal Instinct to the top of many charts, and collect a constellation of “server firsts” along the way.

Two decades older, and wiser, our core team is now setting foot in Star Citizen. Our goal is to venture with our fleet into deep space in order to find the best resources and loot. We are a well organized bunch, keen on establishing a safe environment for our community to enjoy the breadth of what an online game has to offer.

In times of peace, our ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit reigns supreme. Countless hours go into finding the best spots to farm, and devising the best strategies to doing so efficiently. Alas, our thirst for blood inevitably dawns on us when someone ventures into our area, or when there’s nothing more entertaining to do than blowing up some ships and harvesting their loot.

Organization

In Star Citizen our guild will be organized around the goal of being combat-ready 24/7. As a result, we’re adopting a military structure where our core leadership team will count on the wisdom of it’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commanders, Department Chiefs, and of course its members.

Leadership Team

Ebayed – Focused on overall strategy, healthy balance sheet, and organizational structure. When not at helm of guild’s Javelin, Ebayed likes to be on the frontline slugging it out in his fighter.
Glycer – As the guild’s operations wizard, Glycer spends much of his time overseeing the guild’s day to day operation, and military might, at the helm of the guild’s force projection carrier — The Kraken. He is also well known around the verse for his peculiar musical taste: the sound of little bits of enemy ships hitting his windshield.
Idrisa – The guild’s thirstiest killer. Step into a PvP zone unprepared and you’ll be quick to find Idrisa scoring tens of kills in one of her beloved glass cannon builds. In Star Citizen, Idrisa will be at the helm of the mighty Idris-M. You’d be wise to not fly too close.

Responsibilities: The guild’s leadership team oversees its entire operation. In addition to the pure breadth of experience, each leader focuses in a specific area of the guild in order to ensure a smooth day-to-day operation for all of its members.

Leadership Roles

Reporting directly to the leadership team, Primal Instinct has three senior roles. Members in each of these roles guarantee the success of their respective functions.

Chiefs of Staff are Senior Advisors to the leadership team, and Department Chiefs, in specific areas of operation, such as treasury, industry, or intelligence. Members of the guild in this role often act as facilitators between the leadership team and the function they represent. Chiefs of Staff may have direct oversight over critical projects but do not traditionally have direct management responsibilities of the people in that function.

Combatant Commanders have full control of the theater of operation during a military engagement under their purview. Although not strictly required, these commanders often have direct command of a military unit, which may be be deployed on a variety of missions, ranging from protection to infiltration behind, or deep within, enemy lines.

Department Chiefs oversee a specific function of the guild, such as mining, hauling, or intelligence, and are directly accountable for that function’s success. Each Chief also plays a critical role in welcoming members to their function and providing the necessary training and mentorship to ensure a smooth operation around the clock, and around the ‘verse.

Member Roles

Being a military-oriented organization, each member of Primal Instinct is automatically enlisted in the ranks and will participate in military engagements during times of war. In times of peace, each member of the guild can also develop their character’s (virtual) career in a specific function.

Space Force members comprise the bulk of our armada during times of war. In times of peace, and in addition to providing a secure air space for the guild’s day to day operations, members of the Air Force engage in a wide range of activists to hone in their skills.

Marines are so much more than boots on the ground. In addition to providing on site defense, the distinguish members of our Marine Corps operate in a ready state for a wide range of scenarios, ranging from planetary invasion to ship boarding strike forces. Much like in the real world, if you need something done call the Marines.

Intelligence members specialize in all sorts of information gathering activities in times of peace and war. Although we cannot go into details on their clandestine missions, its definitely worth calling out their amazing pathfinding skills.

Operations makes it possible for the guild to exist. Ranging from the very water you drink to the most complicated hauling mission in the ‘verse, the operations team has some of the sharpest minds making sure it all runs like a Swiss clock. Despite the non combat ready charter, you’d be unwise to think you can take a jump on our field experts. Rumor has it that they are quite trigger happy and always eager to put your lights out.

Treasury members help ensure the guild’s healthy finances through a wide range of activities. Some of our experts like to play in the money market. Others are the genius scientists renown for some of the world’s most advanced technologies. In the Treasury you will also find the ‘verses richest miners, farmers, surveyors and scavengers. They are the crown of the guild and without their hard work our mighty armada would not exist.
