The Redacted Regiment was formed by the abandonment of a former UEE (United Earth Empire) Army division in charge of a classified land-based military operation. that was abandoned on Pyro III. The regiment was assigned to a highly confidential mission by the Chief Executive of the UEE Army. The mission was tasked to the top performing regiment that was enlisted in the UEE Army.
