We are the remnants of this games past, here to remind all of you, that you never wound what you can not kill.
Salvage? Cargo? Mining? Combat? We do it all.
*In the early days of Star Citizen’s development, a group of dedicated pilots came together under the leadership of Defanos Starblazer to form Renegade Squadron. Their vision was simple yet noble: to uphold honor and integrity in a universe filled with opportunities for deception and betrayal. They sought to protect the fledgling Star Citizen community from those whom would exploit it for personal gain, including dishonest content creators who would put profit above the truth.
Renegade Squadron made a name for itself through it’s unwavering commitment to truth and justice. Defanos Starblazer became a beacon of integrity for the people of the ‘verse, standing up against those who weaponized their platforms to deceive the community for favoritism, clout, and money.
Renegade Squadron’s most significant achievement was the creation of Pirate Swarm, a challenging in-game event designed to test the mettle of both fledgling and veteran pilots. Their dedication to creating exciting and engaging experiences for the Star Citizen community was evident in the success of Pirate Swarm. The organization played a pivotal role in the emergence of the infamous Jumptown event, a bustling hub of illegal trade and commerce. The org’s members not only participated in Jumptown’s activities, but also helped maintain a delicate balance in the criminal underworld.
For years, Renegade Squadron dominated the leaderboards in Arena Commander, proving their prowess in combat and strategy. However, the organization’s unity was tested when a rift formed within it’s ranks. Ambitious pilots within Renegade Squadron who sought to claim the glory and credit for themselves threatened to tear the organization apart as their desire for recognition grew.
Despite the internal strife, Commander Starblazer recognized the Vanduul. “The ‘Duul” A relentless alien threat, were the org’s primary adversary. Renegade Squadron, weakened by internal challenges, remained committed to protecting humanity from this formidable enemy with a newfound goal: to fight the Vanduul horde and train a new breed of pilots.
Renegade Squadron’s history is one of honor, integrity, and resilience. Despite the trials and tribulations it has faced, the organization’s commitment to it’s core principles and the ongoing battle against the Vanduul serve as a testament to it’s enduring legacy in the ever-expanding universe of Star Citizen.*
This day forward, Renegade is open to all who wish to join, regardless of skill level, commitment, or hangar size. The only requirements are a will to learn if you need to get better, and a sense to good sportmanship and teamplay, Its a video game, not a job. On that note, Some of us still wish to be competitive, but we feel the game is not ready for this and hasn’t been for at least 6 years. In the past when there was only Arena Commander this was viable, today this is not the case for a multitude of reasons, from the Exploit known as Tri Cording, and CIG’s complete mistreatment of the AC module combined with bad development choices such as Theaters of War, and Star Marine, We could go on but TLDR, We are much more chill. When it comes to Renegades team for Competitions, the ancient of rites will demand you defeat him 3 times in a row to be on the team. The Ancients of Rites is our leader, Defanos Starblazer. Tournament winner.
