Shand Syndicate / SHANDSQUAD

It all started with one man. His name doesn’t matter. He was a true spacer, born amongst the stars…literally. It was an emergency birth in the back of a Cutlass Red on the way to New Babbage.

This man was many things, in his early days. He ran cargo and traveled the solar system. He was a criminal, a smuggler, and a hero. At times he fought, clearing out pirates and rebels. There was no contract he wouldn’t take. Some would say he didn’t live by any rules, but those were the ones who only dreamed of a life of their own.

Over time the man ran into other like-minded individuals. One man became three, then five, and so on. Strangers and wayfarers. Vagabonds and ruffians of all stripes. They picked up strays like a dog picked up fleas. They scrapped and fought along the fringes of space. A ship became a small squadron, hunting for credits everywhere they went. In the bars and bellies of the most remote stations, a word whispered in the dark began to spread…
