History

The Soldiers Creed lacks a notable history. Our engagements occur in obscurity, adopting the identities of those who can afford our services. We hail from diverse backgrounds, unified by the principles of freedom of choice and liberation from conscience.

Our legacy is etched onto the battlefield through the sacrifice of our forefathers. We are the rebels deemed too uncontrollable for the military, expelled to carve our own destiny in The Verse. Proficient in both space and marksmanship, we crave conflict and the adrenaline that accompanies it.

You might be unfamiliar with us now, but that won’t be the case for long.

“Vive la mort, vive la guerre, vive le sacre mercenaire!” (“Long live death, long live war, long live the cursed mercenary.”)

Manifesto

  • We are members of Soldiers Creed
  • We are warriors and members of a team.
  • We serve for the good of Soldiers Creed and live by its values.
  • We always place the mission first!
  • We never accept defeat and would rather die in the fulfilment of our goal than lay down our arms.
  • We never quit.
  • We will never leave one of our own behind.
  • Though branded as the misfits by the military we are disciplined, physically and mentally tough.
  • Trained and proficient in our skills as pilots and warriors, we always maintain our skills, our ships and ourselves.
  • Experts in the art of war we are as our motto says “Swift to Kill”.
  • We stand ready to deploy and destroy our enemies whoever they may be.
  • We are guardians of The Creed!

Charter

As a member of Soldiers Creed we only expect that you respect other members right to play the game free from malice or pressure . We all paid for the game and it’s meant to be fun. Here are a few principles to consider:

Respect: All members must show respect for each other. Disputes are to be brought to the attention of the General in charge and will be dealt with on a fair and even basis. We only want players that enjoy working as a team and are respectful of other players right to play regardless of rank or experience.

Friendship: Rivalry on the field does not exclude friendship. We should show the same respect to our rivals as we show ourselves. This is a community we are playing with and as such lets make it a fun one. That said, this does not exclude fun smack talk in game”, AS LONG AS ITS FUN and not intended to ruin someone’s enjoyment of the game!

Team Spirit: Individuals can be strong on their own but they are much stronger in a team. Victory achieved alone can be sweet but there is nothing sweeter than sharing that moment with your team.

Integrity: Being honest and having strong moral principles are essential to fair play.

Solidarity: It is important to support each other and share feelings, aims and dreams. Mutual support brings mutual success in and out of the game.

Tolerance: The willingness to accept behaviour or decisions you may not agree with develops your self-control. Ultimately that could be the deciding factor when it comes to winning or losing.

Care: True gamers watch each others backs as they are well aware they could not be where they are without the help of their team mates

Enjoyment of the game: “Without fairness and trustworthiness the established order of our society is at risk. If we do not play by the rules, we ruin the spirit of the game and it is impossible to play with destroyers of the game.”

“Cooperation in the spirit of fair play delivers even greater results than pure gamesmanship in all walks of life.” Quotes from Baron Pierre de Coubertin.

Fair Play: There is no sport without fair play and there are no champions either. “
“Neither by nature, then, nor contrary to nature do the virtues arise in us; rather we are adapted by nature to receive them, and are made perfect by habit.” Aristotle, Nichomachean Ethics

Fair play is not a theory. Fair play is an attitude that manifests itself in behaviour. Whenever we act in the spirit of fair play we contribute to building a peaceful and better world. The following values which are the building blocks of fair play can easily be expressed in the interactions of everyday life.
