Tactical Terror / TACTERROR

The formation of Tactical Terror occurred in 2945, shortly before the start of the Vanduul war. The founders, Ronan “CraveMode” Sheppard and Gray “Grievance” Vance, were brothers-in-arms as part of the UEE /*REDACTED*/ Squadron for many years. They both had high respect for the UEE Navy, however, during a routine patrol with their squadron just before the attack on Vega II, the two pilots got separated from the fleet and were captured by a Vanduul ship undetected.

During that time, they could still receive communications but they could not transmit while in captivity. This is when they heard the radio communication of their squadron commander telling the fleet’s admiral that they were “LPD”, (Lost and Presumed Dead) and that a search would be a “waste of valuable resources”.

“We can’t rely on the damn Navy to save us from this threat. The bastards don’t even know what is coming. But… you are not alone. If we work together, we will defend your home.”

They escaped captivity, high-jacked a Vanduul ship and crash landed on Vega II near a colony where they were helped by local law enforcement to send a communication to the fleet to warn of the impending attack. However, they did not heed the warning. As Vanduul landing parties started raiding on the dark side of the planet, pillaging colonies, Sheppard and Vance both worked with local law enforcers to defend the attack on that colony and then staging an infiltrated attack on the Vanduul mother ship, causing an end to the battle at Vega II. To the people who knew of the plan in New Corvo, Sheppard and Vance were hailed as Heroes of Vega.

During a senate hearing regarding the Battle of Vega, Admiral Bishop pushed the agenda for war. [ SPOILER video ] This outraged and fueled the anger in those who knew the truth, who knew the events as fact. [ source ]

Several law enforcers, business executives, and civilians joined up with Sheppard and Vance to create a better response to aggressors where the Navy falls short and the corrupt leadership continues to prove conspiracies true. Thanks to the efforts of black market trade and UEE’s Militia Mobilization Initiative, they are able to obtain military assets to fight the war against the Vanduuls and provide security detail for hire.
