History

A New Kind of Company

Dissatisfied with the rigid corporate structure characterizing most extant organizations in the thirtieth century, the founders of Titus Industries sought to build “a new kind of company.” We consist of pilots and captains of all varieties, brought together by the core principle of harmony through the free voicing of ideas and concerns. Driven by ambition and fueled by mutual respect, we reject the notion that the only way to run a functional group is to repress the voices of its constituents. With that in mind, we intend to become the economic keystone between core and fringe space.

Despite beginning with information trade, a vital service to those who are several jump points from the nearest hub system, we have expanded into nearly all forms of legal, lucrative enterprise. Although trade is still our main focus, the dangerous territory in which we do business demands a healthy military contingent, and with this additional security we are able to to engage in mining, salvaging, exploration, and any other activities that spark the ambition of our members. While all companies must start small, it is the collective strength of a determined and diverse group of individuals that allows us to outstrip our competition and to take the industry by storm.

Who Are We?

Titus Industries is a non-exclusive logistics organization with a diverse client base and many lines of work, and is at the forefront of bridging the gap between inner and outer worlds. We generally market ourselves towards remote colonies requiring physical goods or information transport services, as well as smaller companies in need of supplemental logistics, but we also provide services to individuals. At Titus, we pride ourselves not only on our work in the transport of goods and transmission of data, but on the ability to protect the interests of our clients. Our fleet of vessels is such that no task is out of the question, be it trading valuable goods, exploring new jump points, or even military action. As we like to point out, while many larger private militaries have a logistics division to support their operations, few logistics organizations have a full private military division. Instead of paying two separate entities to safeguard your investments, why not just go with Titus?

Who We Look For

In short, anyone! We don’t care if your skillset is diverse, or significantly more focused – either way, there’s a role with us for anyone. At the moment, we have the most need of those looking to either fill the role of security or transport, but far more pressingly, we have need of those will fill our ranks. As we are non exclusive, you can spend as much or as little time with us as you like – your pay is based on the operations you involve yourself in, not your allegiance. That said, as we are a small organization with many important jobs to fill, those who are looking to be much more involved members can expect a greater degree of responsibility entrusted to them upon the launch.

The only caveat to membership is our biggest expectation, that of social conduct. We pride ourselves on our friendly, community based atmosphere, and while we cherish member input, especially in the case of disagreement, we strive to emphasize the constructive over the negative. This will be updated when more is known about the game. That said, expect this to be very lax, except for the likely prohibition of piracy and other related activities.

Membership

Any who think that our goals are in line with theirs and wish to join us are free to do so, regardless of what other groups they might belong to. We are a non exclusive, activity requirement-free group, so the only standards we hold our members to are those of conduct. Exceptions may be made in the case of an unexplained absence over an extremely long period of time, but this should be rare.

Conduct

All racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise hateful speech or expression is strictly prohibited. Comments made in jest are acceptable as long as they are not completely distasteful. We expect our members to be mature enough to determine what is and isn’t appropriate. Otherwise, we simply demand mutual respect between all members. Any situations involving interpersonal conflict are to be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Leadership

Although our executives reserve the right to make all organization related decisions, members are encouraged and expected to be involved in the vast majority of them. Everyone’s opinions and criticisms, particularly of executive choices, are to be seriously considered and addressed. “Officers” or other similar roles are given the responsibility to make choices autonomously, but only in those situations that their predetermined role outlines.

Affiliation

Those seeking to become affiliates without joining as a full member are free to do so. We are actively seeking those who would like to work with us on a regular basis, either as assistance or as clients. In addition, we are more than willing to consider affiliation with other organizations. Please contact an executive member to hammer out the details of our proposed relationship.
