Mining

UNISE has its roots grounded in mining. We’re long-time specialists in the fields of resource extraction and refinement. Our large fleet of RSI Orion mining rigs has served the company for several generations, setting UniStar in strong ground amongst a sea of competition.

Due in part to increasing pressure from environmental lobbyists and investors, UniStar Mining is restructuring its mining fleet. We now favour asteroid mining as opposed to large-scale planet cracking. Unlike other mining corporations, we believe that asteroid processing is a more sustainable and socially acceptable method for resource exploitation. Planet cracking causes detrimental effects on star systems; shifting wormholes and destroying entire ecosystems. With the advent of the RSI Orion, we have since migrated from this archaic method and now focus our energies on asteroids. Not only has this significantly increased our efficiency, but it has also improved the image of UniStar, earning several prestigious awards based on the green outlook UniStar Enterprises has sought after.

Salvage

In the interests of softening the company’s image, Aegis Dynamics™ provides UniStar Enterprises with two Aegis Reclaimers so as to enable salvage operations. In exchange, Aegis is a prioritised customer with discounted prices. This trade agreement has strengthened both companies.

The Reclaimers have enabled UniStar Enterprises to reinforce our place in the salvage industry. With time, we expect the agreement will prove to be a profitable venture as we seek to continue growth in this industry.

Repair

Years of close partnership with Anvil Aerospace™ on the design of the Anvil Crucible™ has enabled UNISE to expand into the areas of repair. Our fleet of RSI Orion™ mining vehicles can now be repaired during any mining operation, saving the company hours – often days – of costly downtime.

The increased efficiencies of mining are paying off the initiative’s expenses and the company looks forward to continued success from this programme. The initiative has even started turning an income of its own as we assist other spaceships in the local vicinity with repairs.

Mining is our central focus, but we have since expanded the corporation’s horizons by introducing resource processing at our foundries. Transports, prospecting/exploration, and defense contracting are all important aspects of the industry, of which all are currently being contracted to those corporations better suited for the task. UniStar is always seeking opportunities to improve relations with these corporations and perhaps fuse into the UniStar family.
